Terms
The rules for bidding on a sticker spot on my carry-on. If you place a bid, you are agreeing to them.
The project
Brand My Rimowa is a personal auction. I am buying a Rimowa Original Cabin and selling ten high-quality sticker spots on the front shell. It is not a product of, or endorsed by, Rimowa. Their name, design and listing are used only to identify the case.
What you are buying
A winning, approved bid buys the right to have your artwork printed as a high-quality sticker in that zone, applied to the front shell, and left there while I travel with the case. You also get your name and optional link on the auction table. I can tell you where the case goes. I do not sell impressions, a media plan, or a guaranteed number of views.
Bidding
Spots open at their reserve. A new bid must beat the standing one by at least 10 €. Only one bid holds a spot at a time. Bidding is meant to close on 30 September 2026, after which I settle the board by hand.
Deposits and payment
Placing a bid authorises a 20% hold on your card, with a 10 € floor, through Stripe. It is an authorisation, not a charge. The hold is captured if I approve the bid. If you are outbid or turned down, the hold is released in full — refunded if anything was captured.
If you still hold the spot when bidding closes on 30 September 2026, the remaining amount is charged to the same card. There is no second checkout. Bids are settled in euros even if the page showed a dollar figure.
Stripe may release an unused authorisation on their own after about seven days if nobody captures it. Builds of this site running without Stripe record the bid without taking a card hold.
Approval
Every sponsor is approved by hand. I keep the last word on what goes on a case I carry through airports. Until then the bid shows as in review. If I turn it down, the hold is released and the spot reopens at its reserve — the previous bidder is not automatically put back, because their hold was already released when they were outbid.
Your artwork
You must have the right to use the file you upload. By bidding you give me a licence to print it as the sticker, apply it to the case, photograph the case, and show the brand name and link on this site. I do not claim ownership of your brand. I may refuse files that are unlawful, misleading, or that I simply do not want to carry.
The case afterwards
It stays my everyday carry-on. Aluminium dents, stickers scuff, and travel is not a studio. That ageing is part of the point. I do not promise a particular itinerary, that the sticker will remain perfect, or that it will appear in any given photograph.
If something goes wrong
This is a small personal project. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for lost profits, missing impressions, or travel that did not happen the way you hoped. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where that rule applies.
Changes
I may update these terms. The date at the top is the version that applies to new bids. A bid already placed stays on the terms as they stood when you submitted it, unless a change is required by law.
